Rena's Journal

There is a part of me that really wants to like this movie. Should I say it is likable but never quite inspires. One is left with an ambivalence afterward. You don't want to say anything bad because it was likable but at the same time there is no real spark. It was an evening of entertainment and diversion but I never quite connected with the characters. I think the producers were hoping to come out with a sequel based on Atlantis but I am not sure this one went over well enough to fund a second one. I was glad we waited until "Dollar Tuesday" at the cheap theater.

I give it an indecisive thumb.
